S. Jacqueline Gold, born and raised in Southern California, received her Masters of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the Laguna College of Art + Design in 2018. From a very early age, she knew she would be an artist. Before receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration at California State University, Long Beach in 1994, Jacqueline was illustrating and designing professionally. Clients include Disney, Warner Bros., Lucasfilm, Esalen Institute, and Gerber Products Company, among others. For the love of learning, Jacqueline has expanded on her education through dozens of workshops with a focus on the fine arts over a span of twenty years. Her teachers include Sharon Allicotti, F. Scott Hess, Glenn Vilppu, Daniel Graves, Dick Oden, Sebastian Capella, Robert Liberace, to name a few. In 2012, she took her desire for learning to Italy, where she studied figurative sculpture with Robert Bodem and Eran Webber at The Florence Academy of Art. Currently, she lives in San Diego, where she works as an art instructor.

Since 2001, Jacqueline has taught a variety of fine art related classes, including life drawing and painting, illustration, anatomy for artists, observational drawing, linear perspective, and landscape drawing and painting. In addition to teaching privately, she has taught for Sony Online Entertainment, Art College International, and Art Academy of San Diego. Currently, she is the Professor of Drawing and Illustration for the undergraduate Illustration and Game Art/Animation art departments at John Paul the Great Catholic University.

As Issac Newton once said, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." I would not be the artist I am today without the guidance and encouragement of my teachers. I want to give a special thanks to Sharon Allicotti, Dick Oden, and Nelson Shanks for your undying belief in me to be the artist the I have always aimed to be. ~ S. Jacqueline Gold
